ICZ® Media Players

FAQ:

The POWER LED on the device is NOT ON:
Unplug the power plug and reinsert back into the player. If it's still not working, the POWER ADAPTER or LED light may be faulty.

I cannot see anything on the TV screen:
Ensure all the cable plugs are firmly plugged into the player. If it's still not working, the PCB board may be faulty.

I see the following on the TV screen:
TV Modes: CVBS, YPbPr
Press the buttons on the remote, to cycle through the TV Modes:
"CVBS" for "Composite" (Commonly used)
"YPbPr" for "Component"
"VGA" for "VGA LCD Monitor"
"MODE" for cycling through all the TV Modes

I see the following on the TV screen:
TV Systems: NTSC, PAL
In the Setup Options, choose the correct TV System your TV can support:
Setup->TV Systems->
PAL Composite/Interlaced/Progressive (Commonly used)
NTSC Composite/Interlaced/Progressive

I cannot see the "USB2.0 device icon" on the startup menu:
USB 2.0 Device Not Detected
Unplug your USB2.0 device and reinsert back into the player. If it's still not detected, unplug the power plug and reinsert back into the player. For Mobile HDDs you may need additional power if your USB2.0 cable is not bus-powered. To fix this, you can insert your Mobile HDD's DC cable into your Mobile HDD to provide additional power.
Another way is if your Mobile HDD's DC cable uses 5.0Volts, you can plug the ICZ Media Player's DC cable straight into the Mobile HDD to provide additional power (However, the Mobile HDD's DC plug MUST SUPPORT 5.0Volts, or you could damage your Mobile HDD)

DIV3/4/5/,XVID + MP3, video and audio is out of synch or bleeps:
Before playing a video, ensure you filter the files by "MOVIE", rather than "FILES".
It should play the video and audio properly if the video/audio was encoded properly.

Video & audio plays slow/freezes using USB2.0 device (e.g. Flash Memory Drives, Mobile HDDs, Card Readers):
Before playing a video, the player will 'buffer' to ensure constant smooth playing. However, if the USB2.0 device read/access speed is too slow you may need to obtain a faster USB2.0 device.

COPY or DELETE functions between USB2.0 devices (e.g. Flash Memory Drives, Mobile HDDs, Card Readers):
Because USB2.0 Flash Memory Drives & Flash Cards still use FAT32, you can only COPY or DELETE between those devices. However, if you want to COPY or DELETE between "Flash Cards and Harddrive" you must ensure the harddrive inside the Mobile HDD is formatted as FAT32, instead of NTFS (However, the file size max limit is up to 2GB). Also ensure that Flash Cards are unlocked when transferring files.

Displaying .SRT subtitles:
Please ensure that the video filename and SRT filename match and are in the same directory. Also make sure the SRT text information is in the following .SRT format. While playing the video, press the "SUB-T" button on the remote control to display the subtitles.
SRT Subtitles 1
SRT Subtitles 1
